A hand protector for transportation of shopping bags is a plastic member of generally rectangular shape with each end of its longer dimension having an arcuate curvature. The member is heat treated to generally retain a cylindrical configuration, with the longer dimension extending circumferentially and being equal to approximately twice the circumference. When in the cylindrical configuration, a spiral channel extends from the outside to the inside of the member; after the handles of one or more shopping bags have been passed along that channel the shopping bags may be lifted by a user grasping the outside of the member. The use of the hand protector results in the weight of the bags being distributed over a greater inner hand surface area than would otherwise be the case, with reduced stress on the hand.
Cette invention concerne un protège-mains pour le transport de sacs à poignées qui se présente sous la forme d'une pièce en plastique de forme généralement rectangulaire enroulée sur elle-même dans le sens de la longueur. L'objet de l'invention est soumis à un traitement thermique lui permettant de conserver sa configuration généralement cylindrique, la longueur de la pièce étant égale à environ deux fois la circonférence du produit fini. En configuration cylindrique, l'objet de l'invention définit un passage spiralé allant de l'extérieur vers l'intérieur dans laquelle on peut enfiler les poignées d'un ou plusieurs sacs avant de soulever ceux-ci en refermant la main autour du protège-mains. Celui-ci offre l'avantage d'assurer une répartition plus large du poids sur la main de l'utilisateur, réduisant ainsi l'inconfort causé par la concentration des contraintes.
