ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The invention concerns a braking device with a piston that can be acted upon by a pressure medium from a pressure medium chamber against the force of a actuation spring. The piston is connected through an actuation arm with a brake linkage. In order to reduce the dimensions of the braking device, the actuation spring and the actuation arm are parallel and coaxial to each other, such that the actuation spring and the actuation arm are located between the moment arms of the brake linkage.
