An automated process for folding and unfolding a lift truck fork in response to movement of a carriage relative to a supporting mast. The lift truck fork (38) is pivotally supported on the carriage (28) such that the fork (38) extends perpendicularly from the carriage (28). When the carriage (28) is at the bottom of the mast (14), a latch (62) may be selectively caused to engage the fork (38). Raising of the carriage (28) causes the fork (38) to pivot to lie parallel to the carriage (28). Subsequent lowering of the carriage (28) then causes the fork (38) to pivot back to its unfolded position. The latch (62) is biased to normally remain out of engagement with the lift truck fork (38) so that once the carriage (28) is lowered, the latch (62) disengages from the fork (38).

La présente invention concerne un processus automatisé de repliement et de déploiement d'une fourche de chariot élévateur en réponse au mouvement du tablier porte-fourche par rapport à un portique de support.
