Bacteria are manipulated to create desirable output traits using dominant negative alleles of mismatch repair proteins. Enhanced hypermutation is achieved by combination of mismatch repair deficinecy and exogenously applied mutagens. Stable bacteria containing desirable output traits are obtained by restoring mismatch reparir activity to the bacteria.
On manipule des bactéries pour créer des traits sortants désirables en utilisant des allèles dominantes négatives de protéines de réparation des désapariements, et on obtient une hypermutation accrue en combinant les défauts de réparation des désapariements, et des mutagènes appliqués de manière exogène. On obtient ainsi des bactéries stables possédant des traits sortants désirables en restaurant l'activité de réparation des désapariements.
