Compositions useful for regulating the condition of mammalian keratinous tissue needing such treatments are provided. An exemplary composition comprises a safe and effective amount of glycyrrhizic acid and/or glycyrrhetinic acid; a safe and effective amount of an active selected from the group consisting of N-acyl amino acid compounds, hexamidine, cetyl pyridinium chloride, ergothioneine, and combinations thereof; and a dermatologically acceptable carrier.

L'invention concerne des compositions destinées à réguler l'état du tissu kératineux d'un mammifère nécessitant un tel traitement. La composition exemplaire comprend une quantité inoffensive et efficace d'acide glycyrrhizique et/ou d'acide glycyrrhétinique; une quantité inoffensive et efficace d'une matière active sélectionnée dans le groupe constitué par des composés d'acide aminé N-acylé, l'hexamidine, le chlorure de cétyl pyridinium, l'ergothionéine et des combinaisons de ceux-ci; et un excipient dermatologiquement acceptable.
