A methyl methacrylic resin composition comprising : (A) 30 to 60 % by weight of an unsaturated monomer mixture comprising an unsaturated monomer having at least two double bonds which can effect radical polymerization, (B) 40 to 70 % by weight of resin particles made of a polymer of a methyl methacrylic unsaturated monomer comprising (i) 20 to 100 parts by weight of partially cross-linked resin particles and (ii) 0 to 80 parts by weight of uncross-linked resin particles and (C) 0.1 to 5 % by weight of a radical polymerization initiator, is provided. The resin composition has an excellent handling property, generates little odor, and can be easily molded to obtain artificial marble. The methyl methacrylic resin composition gives a molded article which has a high transparency, a high hardness of the surface and an excellent scratch-resistance. The molded article may be preferably used as a lamp cover.
Divulgation d'une composition de résine de méthacrylate de méthyle comprenant : A) de 30 à 60 %, en poids, d'un mélange de monomères insaturés comprenant un monomère insaturé renfermant au moins deux doubles liaisons pouvant assurer la polymérisation radicalaire; B) de 40 à 70 %, en poids, de particules de résine constituée d'un polymère de méthacrylate de méthyle monomère, insaturé, comprenant i) de 20 à 100 parties, en poids, de particules de résine partiellement réticulée et ii) de 0 à 80 parties, en poids, de particules de résine non réticulée; et C) de 0,1 à 5 %, en poids, d'un amorceur de polymérisation radicalaire. Cette composition de résine possède une excellente maniabilité, dégage peu d'odeurs et peut être facilement moulée de manière à obtenir du marbre artificiel. La composition de résine de méthacrylate de méthyle permet d'obtenir un article moulé possédant une haute transparence, une grande dureté en surface et une excellente résistance aux rayures. De préférence, cet article moulé peut être utilisé comme couvercle de lampe.
