The invention relates to numerical simulation of subsurface geological reservoirs. More specifically embodiments of the invention are related to computer modeling of the transmission of properties, for example the flow of fluids (e.g. hydrocarbon natural resources and water), within subsurface geological reservoirs. One embodiment of the invention includes a method of evaluating the transmission of a property within a subsurface geologic reservoir using a graph-theory single source shortest path algorithm.

De façon plus spécifique, des modes de réalisation de l'invention concernent la modélisation informatique des caractéristiques de transmission, par exemple l'écoulement de fluides (notamment des ressources naturelles d'hydrocarbures et de l'eau), dans des réservoirs géologiques souterrains. Dans un mode de réalisation, l'invention concerne également un procédé d'évaluation de la transmission d'une caractéristique dans un réservoir géologique souterrain, ce procédé faisant appel à un algorithme du plus court chemin, à une source, en théorie des graphes.
