The invention relates to a process for enhancing the concentration of the fibre derived dissolved and colloidal substances in process water that comes from mechanical pulping. According to the invention, process water is treated with enzyme preparations that have an effect on carbohydrates and that contain mannanase and/or endoglucanase, in particular, which break down the soluble carbohydrate polymers contained by the process water into low molecular weight oligosaccharides. The treatment prevents an increase in viscosity so that process water can be concentrated into a high dry content, or the treatment can be used to lower the viscosity of previously concentrated process water to facilitate after-treatment.
L'invention concerne un procédé d'amélioration de la concentration des substances dissoutes et colloïdales dérivées de fibres se trouvant dans l'eau de traitement provenant d'un procédé de délignification mécanique. Dans le procédé selon l'invention, on traite l'eau de traitement avec des préparations à base d'enzymes qui exercent un effet sur les hydrates de carbone et contiennent de la mannanase et/ou de l'endoglucanase, notamment, et qui dissocient les polymères d'hydrates de carbones solubles contenus dans l'eau de traitement en oligosaccharides à faible poids moléculaire. Le traitement empêche une augmentation de la viscosité de sorte que l'eau de traitement puisse présenter une concentration à teneur élevée en matières sèches; ou alors le traitement peut permettre de réduire la viscosité d'une eau de traitement déjà concentrée pour en faciliter le traitement ultérieur.
