Apparatus for securing soft tissue to bone, comprising: a suture anchor comprising: a body; an elongated tip section connected to the body and extending distally of the body, the elongated tip section terminating in a distal point; a bone-engaging geometry formed on the body, the bone-engaging geometry being proximal to the elongated tip section; a driver-engaging element formed on the proximal end of the body; and a suture-connecting feature associated with the body for attaching a suture to the body; wherein the elongated tip section has a length which exceeds the thickness of the soft tissue which is to be secured to the bone, such that when the suture anchor is passed through the soft tissue, the distal point emerges from the soft tissue before the bone-engaging geometry penetrates the soft tissue.
L'invention concerne un appareil de fixation de tissu mou à un os, comprenant une ancre de suture, comprenant elle-même un corps, une extrémité allongée reliée au corps par rapport auquel elle s'étend de manière distale et terminée par un point distal, une géométrie venant en prise avec l'os formée sur le corps et proximale à l'extrémité allongée, un élément venant en prise avec un dispositif d'entraînement formé sur l'extrémité proximale du corps et un dispositif de connexion de la suture associé au corps et destiné à y fixer une suture ; dans lequel l'extrémité allongée a une longueur supérieure à l'épaisseur du tissu mou qui doit être fixé à l'os, de sorte que lorsqu'on passe l'ancre de suture à travers le tissu mou, le point distal sorte du tissu mou avant que la géométrie venant en prise avec l'os n'y pénètre.
