Abstract 1. Method and apparatus for purifying the exhaust air of installations for consolidating molten substances. 2.1 Known methods and apparatuses are provided with extraction hoods with which the product fraction given off by the product, initially occurring as vapor, and then as dust, is extracted and then disposed of. 2.2 It is proposed to keep the pressure difference between the vapor pressure of the molten substance and the saturation pressure in the space through which the solidifying molten substance passes as small as possible, in order to suppress to the greatest extent possible generation of vapor from the product. The dust fraction of the product, requiring disposal, can thereby also be reduced. 2.3 Utilization for granulating devices, in particular for sulfur. 3. Figure.
Les dispositifs connus sont pourvus de hottes d'aspiration par lesquelles la proportion de produit libérée qui retombe d'abord sous forme de vapeur et figure ensuite sous forme de poussière est aspirée et ensuite éliminée. Il est prévu de maintenir aussi réduite que possible la pression différentielle entre la pression de la vapeur et la pression de saturation dans l'espace traversé par la matière fondue en cours de solidification, afin d'arrêter dans la mesure du possible la formation de vapeur qui se dégage du produit, ce qui permet par conséquent de réduire le volume de poussière à éliminer, qui provient du produit. Ce procédé s'utilise dans des dispositifs de granulation, notamment pour le soufre.
