A first network access point receives a first wireless link message from a first user terminal. The first wireless link message identifies the first user terminal. The first network access point or other system entity assigns an IP address to the first user terminal for use as a temporary mobile station identifier. The first network access point or other system entity installs a route for the IP address to a controller. The first network access point forwards a wireless link message to the user terminal specifying the IP address. The first or a second network access point receives another wireless link message from the first user terminal in which the first user terminal is identified with the IP address. The first or second network access point parses the message to determine the IP address and creates at least one standard IP packet designating the IP address specified in the message. The first or second network access point forwards the message to a router which routes the packet according to the IP address.
Un premier point d'accès à un réseau reçoit un premier message de liaison sans fil provenant d'un premier terminal d'utilisateur. Ce premier message de liaison sans fil identifie le premier terminal d'utilisateur. Le premier point d'accès au réseau ou une autre entité du système attribue une adresse IP au premier terminal d'utilisateur servant d'identificateur temporaire de station mobile. Le premier point d'accès au réseau ou l'autre entité du système met en place une voie d'acheminement pour l'adresse IP vers une unité de contrôle. Le premier point d'accès au réseau envoie un message de liaison sans fil au terminal d'utilisateur en spécifiant l'adresse IP. Le premier ou un deuxième point d'accès au réseau reçoit un autre message de liaison sans fil provenant du premier terminal d'utilisateur, par lequel le premier terminal d'utilisateur est identifié à l'aide de l'adresse IP. Le premier ou le deuxième point d'accès au réseau analyse le message pour déterminer l'adresse IP, et forme au moins un paquet IP standard désignant l'adresse IP spécifiée dans le message. Le premier ou le deuxième point d'accès au réseau envoie le message à un routeur qui achemine le paquet conformément à l'adresse IP.
