In the field of undergorund piping, pipes are generally thought of as being circular. In this invention, the pipe is not circular in shape: while the bottom half is indeed semicircular in shape, the top half is in the shape of a pointed arch or ogive (see description and drawings). This shape makes it possible to reduce the cylindrical deformation or ovalizing effect caused by pressure exerted by the ground or by vertically-applied pressure.
