An absorbent article providing improved body fit. The absorbent article includes an extensible fluid permeable facing layer and a first absorbent layer joined to the facing layer. The first absorbent layer includes zones of extensibility. Each zone of extensibility is a region of the first absorbent layer of relatively higher extensibility than regions of first absorbent layer adjacent to the zone of extensibility. A liquid impermeable backsheet is joined to the facing layer at the periphery. The liquid impermeable backsheet has a garment facing surface. A fastening means is disposed on at least a portion of the garment facing surface of the liquid impermeable backsheet. The fastening means defines attachment zones. At least a portion of the first absorbent layer is decoupled from the attachment zones of the fluid impermeable backsheet.
Cette invention se rapporte à un article absorbant assurant une meilleure adaptation au corps. Cet article absorbant comprend une couche de face extensible perméable aux fluides et une première couche absorbante jointe à cette couche de face. La première couche absorbante comporte des zones d'extensibilité. Chaque zone d'extensibilité est constituée par une zone de la première couche absorbante ayant une extensibilité relativement supérieure à celles des zones de la première couche absorbante adjacentes à la zone d'extensibilité. Une feuille de dos imperméable aux liquides est jointe à la couche de face au niveau de son pourtour. La feuille de dos imperméable aux liquides présente une surface en contact avec les vêtements. Un moyen de fixation est placé sur au moins une partie de la surface, en contact avec les vêtements, de la feuille de dos imperméable aux liquides. Le moyen de fixation définit des zones d'attache. Au moins une partie de la première couche absorbante est détachée des zones d'attache de la feuille de dos imperméable aux fluides.
