In a multistage collector used in a linear beam tube such as an IOT or klystron, electrode stages are separated by ceramic rings having metallised surfaces to provide distributed bypass capacitors. This eliminates or reduces leakage or any rf energy from the interior of the collector to the outside.

Dans un collecteur multi-étage utilisé dans un tube à faisceau linéaire tel qu'un tube du type IOT ou un klystron, les étages d'électrode (1, 2 et 3) sont séparés par des anneaux en céramique (5 et 6) possédant des surfaces métallisées (7 et 9) afin de former des condensateurs de découplage distribués, ce qui permet de supprimer ou de réduire toute possibilité de fuite d'énergie R.F. de l'intérieur du collecteur vers l'extérieur.
