An electrically conducting long fiber composite that offers improved surface resistivity and/or impact strength when used in a molded product. The composite includes a thermoplastic resin; carbon long fibers; and glass long fibers; wherein the carbon long fibers and the glass long fibers have a length of greater then or equal to about 2 millimeters and wherein the electrically conducting long fiber composite upon being molded into an article displays a surface resistivity of less than or equal to about 10 ohm per square centimeter and a notched Izod impact strength of greater than or equal to about 10 kilojoules per square meter.
L'invention concerne un composite à fibres longues électriquement conducteur qui offre une résistivité de surface et/ou une résistance aux impacts améliorées lorsqu~il est utilisé dans un produit moulé. Ce composite comprend une résine thermoplastique ; de longues fibres de carbone ; et de longues fibres de verre ; les longues fibres de carbone et les longues fibres de verre présentant une longueur supérieure ou égale à environ 2 mm et le composite à fibres longues électriquement conducteur présentant lorsqu'il est moulé en un article une résistivité de surface inférieure ou égale à environ 10 ohms par centimètre carré et une résistance aux impacts calculée selon la procédure Izod supérieure ou égale à environ 10 kilojoules par mètre carré.
