ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention is directed to a construction method involving the laying of rows of construction block and mortaring these together in a stacked fashion. The improvement involves creating triplanar reinforced mortar construction by using blocks which have a top surface, a bottom surface, two end surfaces and two face surfaces, and having a rectangular configuration with its elongation in the horizontal plane. The block has two channels formed in its top surface running the full length of the top surface parallel to each other and parallel to the face surfaces and has two channels formed on its bottom surface parallel to each other and parallel to the face surfaces and located directly below the two channels formed in the top surface. Reinforcement pieces are laid across a plurality of blocks and both of the two top channels and mortar is applied so that a criss-cross of mortar is created to bind the blocks so as to reinforce them for enhanced lateral, vertical and horizontal strength. The invention also includes the construction system itself as well as the method and the concrete block itself used therein.
