A device for forming a composite from a pair of parts with opposed mating surfaces has a base (1) and a support member (11) is mounted on the base. A vertically adjustable head assembly (20) for holding an upper part is located at the lower end of the support and is operatively connected to a drive motor (15) at the upper end of the support member. A vacuum generator generates a negative pressure to hold the upper part on the head member. A support (50) is located below and coaxially with the head assembly for supporting a lower part. The upper and lower parts are laterally aligned and an adhesive is spread over the opposed mating surfaces of the parts.

Ce dispositif, destiné à former un composite à partir d'une paire d'éléments présentant des surfaces jointives opposées, comprend une base (1) ainsi qu'un dispositif de support (11) monté sur cette base. Un ensemble tête (20) réglable verticalement et destiné à maintenir l'élément supérieur du composite est placé au niveau de l'extrémité inférieure du support et il est relié de manière opérante à un moteur d'entraînement (15) situé au niveau de l'extrémité supérieure du dispositif de support. Un générateur de vide produit une pression négative afin de maintenir ledit élément supérieur contre l'organe de tête. On a disposé un support (50) sous l'ensemble tête et de façon coaxiale avec celui-ci, afin que celui-ci soutienne l'élément inférieur du composite. Les éléments supérieur et inférieur sont alignés latéralement et un adhésif est étalé sur leurs surfaces jointives opposées.
