ABSTRACT An improved artificially baited hook for fishing or the like and an improved method for fabricating same, which artificially baited hook includes a hook having a shank portion extending longitudinally so as to present an eye at one end thereof and at least one curved hook portion at the other end thereof; a lure associated with said hook in the region remote from the eye; a wire for releasably anchoring the lure to said eye and a flexible sleeve releasably slidingly capturing the wire and the shank portion so as to unitarily embrace and secure said wire and said shank portion against separation, and retain said lure means in the region adjacent to said curved hook portion.
