The described invention is designed to be used to sound a vehicle horn without moving the operator's hand from the normal steering position on the steering wheel. The invention may be added to an existing steering wheel, or added during the manufacture of a steering wheel. The invention consists of two electrical conductors which are mounted on the inner perimeter of the steering wheel and are both contained in a flexible tube. These electrical elements are held close to each other and are parallel, but are fastened in such a way that the element in contact with the steering wheel is immovable, and the other element, which is normally held away from the immovable element, can be pressed into contact with the immovable element. The elements are held normally out of contact by fastening the movable contact in place under tension. Both elements are electrically connected in parallel with the existing horn button(s), so that the original horn actuator is still fully functional.
