A system for providing a method of sealing skin with a film forming polymer is provided. The system includes providing an at least two part applicator containing a sealant composition in one or more frangible containers, providing instructions for using the applicator associated therewith, where the method including moving at least one of said applicator parts from a first position to a second position and applying said sealant to skin. The composition has film former, a plasticizer and 3000 to 10000 ppm of a dye that changes color when is undergoes a phase change. The color change is visible to a human eye under normal light conditions. changing dyes may be used to indicate that the composition has dried. The dyes change color in response to the phase change, i.e., drying of the film former. The dye may be added either directly to the composition, incorporated into a sponge on an applicator through which the composition is dispensed and applied, applied separately or applied simultaneously from a separate reservoir. The amount of dye in the composition can be adjusted to provide a visual cue to the user of the application area and the extent of cure though should generally be in the range of 3000 to 10000 ppm.
L'invention concerne un système pour fournir un procédé de protection cutanée par un polymère filmogène. Le système comprend la fourniture d'un applicateur à au moins deux parties contenant une composition de protection par film dans un ou plusieurs conteneurs frangibles, la fourniture d'instructions pour l'utilisation de l'applicateur associé à celui-ci, le procédé comprenant le déplacement d'au moins l'une desdites parties d'applicateur d'une première position à une seconde position et l'application dudit film de protection à la peau. La composition possède un agent filmogène, un plastifiant et 3000 à 10000 ppm d'un colorant qui change de couleur lorsqu'il subit un changement de phase. Le changement de phase est visible à l'il humain dans des conditions de lumière normale. Des colorants à changement de couleur peuvent être utilisés pour indiquer que la composition a séché. Les colorants changent de couleur en réponse au changement de phase, à savoir, au séchage de l'agent filmogène. Le colorant peut être ajouté soit directement à la composition, incorporé dans une éponge sur un applicateur grâce auquel la composition est distribuée et appliquée, appliqué séparément ou appliqué simultanément à partir d'un réservoir séparé. La quantité de colorant dans la composition peut être ajustée pour fournir un repère visuel à l'utilisateur de la zone d'application et de l'étendue de durcissement, bien que d'une manière générale devant se trouver dans la plage de 3000 à 10000 ppm.
