A blind fastener comprising a body (22) and a stem (26), wherein the fastener is installed in a workpiece by applying a pulling force to the bodycausing a bulb to form at a radially expandable section of the body, the stem of the fastener comprising two waisted regions (38, 40) of reduced diameter, such that when the body of the fastener is crimped after assembly with the stem, the body is caused to form abarrel shape, whereby clearance between the body and stem is minimised.
L'invention concerne une fixation en aveugle comprenant un corps (22) et une tige (26). La fixation est insérée dans une pièce en appliquant une force de traction au corps provoquant la formation d'un bourrelet à une section radialement extensible du corps, la tige de la fixation comprenant deux zones cintrées (38, 40) de diamètre réduit, de sorte que lorsque le corps de la fixation est serti après l'assemblage avec la tige, le corps est amené à prendre une forme de fût, l'espace libre entre le corps et la tige étant minimisé.
