There is disclosed herein a lithium ion battery electrode formed by the pyrolysis of a siloxane polymer of the formula (R1R2R3SiO1/2)w(R4R5SiO)x(R6SiO3/2)y(SiO4/2)z followed by introducing lithium ions. In this formula, each R1, R2, R3, R4, R5 and R6 are independently selected from hydrogen atom or a hydrocarbon, w is in the range of 0 to 0.8, x is in the range of 0 to 0.9, y is in the range of 0 to 0.9, z is in the range of 0 to 1 and w + x + y + z = 1.

L'invention porte sur une électrode pour pile au lithium obtenue par pyrolyse d'un polymère du siloxane possédant la formule (R1R2R3SiO1/2)w(R4R5SiO)x(R6SiO3/2)y(SiO4/2)z, puis par introduction d'ions lithium. Dans cette formule, R1, R2, R3, R4, R5 et R6 sont, individuellement, un atome d'hydrogène ou un hydrocarbure, w, x, y et z se situent dans les plages de 0 - 0,8, 0 - 0,9, 0 - 0,9 et 0 - 1 respectivement, et w+ x + y + z = 1.
