A machine for raising planar articles (2), preferably made of cardboard, corrugated cardboard or plastics, in order to manufacture box-shaped or crate- shaped packaging. The machine comprises at least one main conveyor (16) for advancing the planar articles (2) one at a time and side forming means (8) for turning the side panels (5b) of 0 the articles predominantly 90~ upwards with respect to the bottom panel (4) of the article (2). Moreover, the machine is provided with transversely arranged end forming means (15) for tarning title end panels (6a, 6b) of the articles substantially 90~ upwards and optionally also turning the end portions (5b', 5b") of the side panels (5b) substantially 90~ with respect to the remaining portion of the side panels. Finally, there are joining means (12, 20) for joining the side panels (5a, 5b) and the end panels (6a, 6b) of the articles. This provides a machine requiring less space than the known one but remaining very reliable.
La présente invention concerne une machine permettant de soulever des articles plans (2) de préférence fabriqués en carton, en carton ondulé ou en matières plastiques, de façon à fabriquer un emballage en forme de boîte ou en forme de manne. Cette machine comprend au moins un convoyeur principal (16) permettant de faire avancer les articles plans (2) un par un et un organe formant un côté (8) destiné à tourner les panneaux latéraux (5b) de l'article de manière prédominante à 90 degrés par rapport au panneau de fond (4) de cet article (2). Par ailleurs, cette machine est pourvue d'un organe de formation d'extrémité agencé transversalement (15) permettant de faire tourner des panneaux d'extrémités de titres (6a, 6b) des articles (2) sensiblement de 90 degrés et éventuellement aussi de faire tourner des parties d'extrémité (5b', 5b'') des panneaux latéraux (5b) sensiblement de 90 degrés par rapport à la partie restante des panneaux latéraux. Enfin, des organes de jonction (12, 20) permettent de joindre les panne latéraux (5a, 5b) et les panneaux d'extrémités (6a, 6b) des articles. On obtient ainsi une machine dont l'encombrement est réduit par rapport aux machines connues tout en restant très fiable.
