Time variation on fading channels hinders accurate channel estimation in differential space-time modulation and deteriorates the performance. Decision-feedback differential detection is employed for block differential space-time modulation, and compared with conventional differential space-time modulation. It is observed that the proposed scheme does not suffer effective fading bandwidth expansion, as does the conventional scheme. An improved effective signal-to-noise ratio approach is proposed for analyzing the performance of the proposed scheme in time-varying flat Rayleigh fading. Theoretical analysis and simulations show the improved performance of the proposed scheme over the conventional scheme.

La variation temporelle s'exerçant sur les voies à évanouissement entrave l'estimation précise des voies en termes de modulation spatio-temporelle différentielle et nuit à l'efficacité. La détection différentielle de retour de décision est employée pour la modulation spatio-temporelle différentielle de blocs et comparée à la modulation spatio-temporelle différentielle classique. On remarque que le procédé proposé ne subit pas un allongement de la largeur de bande d'évanouissement efficace comme cela se produit dans le procédé classique. Une approche efficace améliorée du rapport signal-bruit est proposée pour analyser l'efficacité du procédé proposé pour l'évanouissement de Rayleigh plat variant dans le temps. L'analyse théorique et les simulations indiquent l'efficacité améliorée du procédé proposé par rapport au procédé classique.
