The present invention relates to a method for processing a call and to a corresponding communication network having a packet switched protocol based cellular telephone network (1) comprising a first layer (3) for transferring signalling information assigned to a telephone call being processed by the communication network, a second layer (4) for transferring payload information assigned to the telephone call and interface means (20) for coupling the cellular telephone network (1) to a further network (2), the interface means (20) comprising signalling information exchange function between the cellular telephone network (1) and the further network (2) and payload information exchange function between the cellular telephone network (1) and the further network (2), the first layer (3) and the second layer (4) of the cellular telephone network (1) being coupled to the interface means (20), wherein the second layer (4) of the cellular telephone network (1) transfers the payload information of the telephone call to and from the interface means (20) on a direct route (11) assigned to the telephone call within the second layer (4) and the first layer of the cellular telephone network (1) comprises controlling means for controlling the routing of the telephone call initiated from the further network (2) and terminating in the packet switched protocol based cellular telephone network (1).
La présente invention concerne un procédé de traitement d'un appel et un réseau de communication correspondant qui comprend un réseau téléphonique cellulaire (1) à protocole de commutation par paquets comprenant une première couche (3) destinée à transférer des données de signalisation assignées à un appel téléphonique traité par le réseau de communication, une seconde couche (4) destinée à transférer des données de charge utile assignées à l'appel téléphonique et à l'unité d'interface (20) afin de coupler le réseau téléphonique cellulaire (1) à un réseau supplémentaire (2). L'unité d'interface (20) comprend une fonction d'échange de données de signalisation entre le réseau téléphonique cellulaire (1) et le réseau supplémentaire (2), et une fonction d'échange de données de charge utile entre le réseau téléphonique cellulaire (1) et le réseau supplémentaire (2). La première couche (3) et la seconde couche (4) du réseau téléphonique cellulaire (1) sont couplées à l'unité d'interface (20), la seconde couche (4) du réseau téléphonique cellulaire (1) servant à transférer les données de charge utile de l'appel téléphonique en direction et en provenance de l'unité d'interface (20) sur une voie d'acheminement directe (11) assignée à l'appel téléphonique dans la seconde couche (4). La première couche du réseau téléphonique cellulaire (1) comprend des organes de commande destinés à commander l'acheminement de l'appel téléphonique initié dans le réseau supplémentaire (2) et prenant fin dans le réseau téléphonique cellulaire (1) à protocole de commutation par paquets.
