Disclosed is a process for producing shaped articles by selective laser sintering of pulverulent material of nylon-12 having a melting point of 185 - 189°C, an enthalpy of fusion of 112 ~ 17 J/g, and a solidification point of 138 - 143°C. The pulverulent nylon-12 preferably has a mean particles size of from 50 to 150 µm.
