ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The pre-assembled kit for obtaining fibrin sponge comprises a pair of bags each having an access connection closable by means of a plug and being interconnected by a tube. one of the bags has a duct for connection to a plasmapheresis unit. The inner surfaces of the walls of the hags for containing plasma have knurlings formed thereon for retaining cryoprecipitate containing a high amount of fibrinogen. A process is also disclosed wherein the pre- assembled kit is used for obtaining fibrin sponge in a fully sterile environment.
