Description

A waterproof advertising display device (10) includes a captive calculator (70) and is particularly adapted for use on a shopping can (110) of the telescopingly nestable type. Broadly speaking, display device (10) includes display plate (22) for moun- ting on the front wall (152) of a shopping cart upper rear receptacle (150) and for receiving advertising copy (90), and transparent cover plate (42) attached. Tongue and groove seal (94) between plates (22, 42) keeps water from advertising copy (90). Calculator assembly (60), attached to cover plate (42), includes a stand-off shelf (62) for holding captive calculator (70) at a preferred angle for use by a shopper.
