A novel pneumatic vacuum lift elevator is provided herein. Such pneumatic vacuum lift elevator includes a vertical tube of straight axis and having a smooth interior. A movable transport cab is mounted coaxially in the tube for the transporting of passengers, etc. A plurality of access doors is provided, each door having an hermetic closure at different levels of concordance with the respective floors. An air suction device is arranged in the upper end of the vertical tube, the air suction device being capable of causing a depression zone above the roof of the cab, and an atmospheric air intake is arranged at the lower area of the tube. A sliding and sealing trimming is arranged at the upper part of the external wall of the cab between the external wall and the tube so that the cab, in effect, is a piston which is in sliding contact with the tube. A command console for the suction device is arranged inside the cab. Valves are provided for regulating the air inflow and air outflow in the depression zone. Locks are arranged at the cab which cooperate with supports provided in the internal wall of the vertical tube above the access doors. Braking devices in the form of brake shoes are operable by a diaphragm which is located in the roof of the cab by means of a pressure differential.
Cette invention se rapporte à un nouvel appareil élévateur pneumatique à dépression. Ledit appareil élévateur comprend un conduit vertical rectiligne à paroi lisse à l'intérieur. Une cabine mobile est montée coaxialement dans le conduit pour le transport de passagers, etc. Plusieurs portes d'accès sont prévues, chaque porte étant munie d'une fermeture hermétique coïncidant avec les différentes portes palières. Un dispositif de succion d'air est agencé à la partie supérieure du puits vertical, ledit dispositif étant capable de produire une zone de dépression au-dessus du toit de la cabine, et une prise d'air atmosphérique est agencée à la partie inférieure du conduit. Une garniture coulissante d'étanchéité est agencée dans le haut du mur extérieur de la cabine, entre le mur extérieur et le conduit, de façon que la cabine joue effectivement le rôle d'un piston coulissant à l'intérieur du conduit. Un pupitre de commande du dispositif de succion est agencé à l'intérieur de la cabine. Des vannes sont prévues pour régler l'entrée d'air et l'évacuation d'air. Des butées sont agencées sur la cabine, qui coopèrent avec des supports prévus sur la paroi intérieure du conduit vertical, au-dessus des portes d'accès. Des dispositifs de freinage sous la forme de semelles de freins peuvent être manoeuvrés au par un diaphragme situé dans le toit de la cabine, au moyen d'une pression différentielle.
