A process for making a unitary fibrous structure (100) comprises steps of: providing a fibrous web comprising a plurality of cellulosic fibers (110) randomly distributed throughout the fibrous web and a plurality of synthetic fibers (120) randomly distributed throughout the fibrous web; and causing co- joining of at least a portion of the synthetic fibers with the cellulosic fibers and the synthetic fibers, wherein the co-joining occurs in areas having a non-random and repeating pattern. A unitary fibrous structure comprises a plurality of cellulosic fibers randomly distributed throughout the fibrous structure, and a plurality of synthetic fibers distributed throughout the fibrous structure in a non-random repeating pattern. In another embodiment, a unitary fibrous structure comprises a plurality of cellulosic fibers randomly distributed throughout the fibrous structure, and a plurality of synthetic fibers randomly distributed throughout the fibrous structure, wherein at least a portion of the plurality of synthetic fibers comprises co-joined fibers, which are co-joined with the synthetic fibers and/or with the cellulosic fibers.
L'invention concerne un procédé permettant de fabriquer une structure fibreuse unitaire (100). Ce procédé consiste : à préparer un voile fibreux comportant une pluralité de fibres cellulosiques (110) réparties de façon aléatoire à travers le voile fibreux et une pluralité de fibres synthétiques (120) réparties de façon aléatoire à travers le voile fibreux ; à provoquer le co-assemblage d'au moins une partie des fibres synthétiques avec les fibres cellulosiques et les fibres synthétiques, ce co-assemblage se produisant dans des zones comportant un motif répétitif non aléatoire. Une structure fibreuse unitaire comprend une pluralité de fibres réparties de façon aléatoire à travers la structure fibreuse ainsi qu'une pluralité de fibres synthétiques réparties de façon aléatoire à travers la structure fibreuse selon un motif répétitif non aléatoire. Dans un autre mode de réalisation, une structure fibreuse unitaire comprend une pluralité de fibres cellulosiques réparties de façon aléatoire à travers la structure fibreuse et une pluralité de fibres synthétiques réparties de façon aléatoire à travers la structure fibreuse, au moins une partie de la pluralité de fibres synthétiques comprenant des fibres co-assemblées avec les fibres synthétiques et/ou avec les fibres cellulosiques.
