Methods and apparatus for synchronizing a first clock (104) of a transmit node (102) and a second clock (112) of receive node (110) in a packet network (103) are provided. Consecutive intervals of time-stamped packets transferred from the transmit node (102) to the receive node (110) are selected. The consecutive intervals have a difference in delay noise within a defined acceptance window. A correction factor is determined for the second clock (112) in accordance with transmit and receive time stamps of transferred time-stamped packets bounding the consecutive intervals. The correction factor is applied to the second clock (112) to synchronize the second clock (112) of the receive node (110) with the first clock (104) of the transmit node (102).

L'invention concerne des procédés et un appareil pour synchroniser la première horloge (104) d'un nAEud de transmission (102) et la seconde horloge (112) d'un nAEud de réception (110) dans un réseau à commutation par paquets (103). Des intervalles consécutifs de paquets à marquage temporel transférés du nAEud de transmission (102) vers le nAEud de réception (110) sont sélectionnés. Les intervalles consécutifs ont une différence de bruit de retard dans une fenêtre d'acceptation définie. Un facteur de correction est déterminé pour la seconde horloge (112) selon les marquages temporels de transmission et de réception de paquets à marquage temporel transférés délimitant les intervalles consécutifs.
