19 ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A therapeutic agent for treating wounds having properties and actions different from those of growth factors and proteins inducing growth factors, which have strong therapeutic effect is disclosed. The therapeutic agent for treating wounds according to the present invention comprises monocyte chemotactic and activating factor or a variation thereof having a monocyte- attracting property or a derivative of said monocyte chemotactic and activating factor or said variation thereof.
