ABSTRACT OF THE INVENTION A portable advertising and display unit comprises a base, a top, and a centrally provided elongated receptacle fitted therebetween. An advertisement or a displayed article may be removably disposed within the elongated receptacle. A fluid is preferably contained withln the elongated receptacle through which air bubbles may be passed at a selectively variable rate. Overhead and colinear lighting may be provided, and the lighting may be either conventional incandescent lighting, neon, laser, or fiber optic. A clear, semi-transparent or mirrored coaxial shell may also be fitted between the base and the top. The unit of the present invention may be mounted either horizontally or vertically for display.
