A wastewater treatment unit (10) including a recirculation chamber (32), a dosing chamber (34) having no direct fluid connection to the recirculation chamber (32), and at least two filter layers (28, 30) in a single tank (12). Each filter layer (28, 30) containing filter media (56) and being located above the recirculation (32) and dosing chambers (34). The wastewater treatment unit (10) also including an influent pipe (50), a recirculation pump (72) located in the recirculation chamber (32), and an effluent discharge pipe (88) connected to the dosing chamber (34). The influent pipe (50) directs wastewater entering the wastewater treatment unit (10) into the recirculation chamber (32), the recirculation pump (72) pumps the wastewater from the recirculation chamber (32) onto the filter layers (28, 30); the wastewater flows through the filter media (56) of the filter layers (28, 30) and is directed to the recirculation (32) or the dosing chamber (34); and the wastewater is discharged from the wastewater treatment unit (10) through the effluent discharge pipe (88).

L'invention concerne une unité de traitement des eaux usées (10) comportant une chambre de recirculation (32), une chambre de dosage (34) ne possédant pas de connexion fluidique directe avec la chambre de recirculation (32), et au moins deux couches filtrantes (28, 30) dans un réservoir unique (12). Chaque couche filtrante (28, 30) contient un milieu filtrant (56) et est disposée au-dessus de la chambre de recirculation (32) et de la chambre de dosage (34). Cette unité de traitement des eaux usées (10) comporte également un tuyau pour influents (50), une pompe de recirculation (72) disposée dans la chambre de recirculation (32) et un tuyau d'évacuation des effluents (88) relié à la chambre de dosage (34). Le tuyau pour influents (50) dirige les eaux usées pénétrant dans l'unité de traitement (10) vers la chambre de recirculation (32), la pompe de recirculation (72) pompe les eaux usées se trouvant dans la chambre de recirculation (32) et les envoie sur les couches filtrantes (28, 30), les eaux usées traversent le milieu filtrant (56) des couches filtrantes (28, 30) puis sont évacuées de l'unité de traitement (10) par le tuyau d'évacuation des effluents (88).
