- 14 - IMPROVED ROE CONTAINER ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A roe container having sidewalls and a bottom. A handle is formed on the outside of the sidewalls on each of the end portions. The handle has a smooth lower substantially horizontal surface and a plurality of ribs used for strengthening of the sidewall and to allow the entry of the fingertips of a handler. The bottom of the container is concave as viewed from above and slopes downwardly from the sidewalls towards the centre of the bottom where a drain hole is formed. Ribs on the inside sidewalls of the container in the corner portions extend substantially vertically upwardly from the bottom of the container and terminate approximately one third of the total height of the sidewalls of the container. The ribs act to support a second container stacked on top of and inside the container when such containers are shipped or stored empty.
