Solutions useful to clean contact lenses include a surfactant component in an effective amount; and a viscosity inducing component, preferably selected from cellulosic derivatives and more preferably hydroxypropylmethyl cellulose, in an effective amount. Such solutions, which may include one or more additional components, have substantial contact lens cleaning benefits which, ultimately, lead to ocular health advantages and avoidance of problems caused by contact lens wear.

L'invention concerne des solutions servant à nettoyer des lentilles de contact. Cette solution comprend une dose efficace d'un composant tensioactif, et une dose efficace d'un composant induisant la viscosité, sélectionné de préférence parmi des dérivés cellulosiques, ce composé étant idéalement l'hydroxypropylméthylcellulose. Ces solutions, pouvant comprendre un ou plusieurs autres composants, sont très efficaces pour le nettoyage de lentilles de contact, et présentent, en fin de compte, des avantages liés à la santé oculaire, tout en évitant les problèmes causés par le port de lentilles de contact.
