ABSTRACT The invention refers to a device for receiving a liquid-jet of a liquid-jet-cutting eqipment. Said device comprises a re- ceiving chamber provided with a liquid-jet inlet and a liquid- jet outlet, and at least one deflecting plate located in said receiving chamber, the plane of said deflecting plate being in- clined with respect to the axis of the liquid-jet, and at least that surface of said deflecting plate which faces the liquid- jet being made of a sintered material having a hardness of at least 9 in Mohs' scale of hardness.
