The invention concerns an isolated nucleic acid of the human FGF-1 gene having IRES (internal ribosome entry site) activity, said nucleotide sequence being derived from the 5' non translated region (5'NTR) end of the human FGF-1 gene. The invention also concerns an expression cassette of at least one molecule of interest in a eukaryotic cell comprising at least one of said sequences. The cassette can be inserted directly or in the form of a vector in a host cell, hence the invention further concerns the recombinant vectors and the host cell transfected by said vector or the cassette.

L'invention concerne un acide nucléique isolé présentant une activité IRES (internal ribosome entry site), ladite séquence nucléotidique provenant de l'extrémité 5' non traduite (5'NTR) du gène FGF-1 humain. L'invention a également pour objet une cassette d'expression d'au moins une molécule d'intérêt dans une cellule eucaryote comprenant au moins une des séquences précitées. La cassette peut être introduite directement ou sous forme de vecteur dans une cellules hôte de sorte que les vecteurs recombinants et les cellules hôte transfectées par ledit vecteur ou la cassette font également partie de l'invention.
