An apparatus and method for enhancing recovery of oil from producing and dormant wells. The invention embodied in an apparatus (10) in which brine is mixed with a small amount of oil, and then passed through an alternating current flowing between a pair of spaced apart electrodes (32, 36). The invention is also embodied in a method which shutting in the second well, injecting hydrogen, hot water and steam into the formation via the first well, monitoring formation pressure at the second well until a pressure increase is detected, and recovering fluids including petroleum from said formation via the second well.
La présente invention concerne un procédé et un appareil qui permettent d'améliorer la récupération de pétrole à partir de puits de production et de puits dormants. Dans cet appareil (10), une saumure est mélangée à une petite quantité de pétrole, et elle est ensuite soumise à un courant alternatif circulant entre une paire d'électrodes écartées l'une de l'autre (32, 36). Cette invention concerne aussi un procédé qui consiste à fermer le second puits, injecter de l'hydrogène, de l'eau chaude et de la vapeur dans la formation via le premier puits, à surveiller la pression dans la formation au second puits jusqu'à ce qu'une augmentation de pression soit détectée, et à récupérer de ladite formation les fluides contenant des produits pétroliers via le second puits.
