A new method and system to obtain enhanced-resolution NMR data by merging, in the time domain, different NMR pulse echo trains into a single echo train. The input echo trains may be acquired with different inter-echo spacing Te, wait time Tw, and signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) parameters that are optimized to correspond to both fast and slow portions of the T2 spectrum. The merged echo trains are inverted into complete T2 spectra in a single step. In a preferred embodiment the merging process does not require a priori information about T1, and the merged echo trains are optimized in with respect to T2 resolution. The method is preferably practiced with the latest generation of multi-volume NMR logging tools, that allow simultaneous recordation of NMR data with different inter-echo spacing Te, wait time Tw, and signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) parameters.
La présente invention concerne un procédé et un système permettant d'obtenir des données RMN à résolution améliorée en fusionnant, en dimension temporelle, différents trains d'échos à impulsion RMN en un seul train d'échos. Les trains d'échos d'entrée peuvent être obtenus à partir de différents paramètres d'espace inter-écho Te, de temps d'attente et de rapport signal/bruit (SNR) que l'on optimise de manière à les faire correspondre à la fois aux composantes rapides et aux composantes lentes du spectre T2. Les trains d'échos ainsi fusionnés sont inversés en une seule opération pour donner des spectres T2 complets. Selon un mode de réalisation préféré, le processus de fusion ne nécessite pas d'informations à priori sur T1, et les trains d'échos fusionnés sont optimisés par rapport à la résolution T2. Ce procédé s'utilise de préférence avec la dernière génération d'appareils de diagraphie RMN multi-volume qui permettent d'enregistrer simultanément des données RMN avec différents paramètres d'espace inter-écho Te, de temps d'attente Tw et de rapport signal/bruit (SNR).
