The present invention relates to an in vitro method for diagnosing or detecting a predisposition to a disease or disorder associated with abnormal RANTES gene expression, the method comprising examining the RANTES gene promoter to detect the presence of a genetic polymorphism and a method of treatment of patients with such diseases comprising administering a RANTES modulator.
L'invention concerne une méthode in vitro permettant de diagnostiquer ou de détecter une prédisposition à une maladie ou à un trouble associé à une expression génétique RANTES anormale. Cette méthode consiste à examiner le promoteur génétique RANTES afin de détecter la présence d'un polymorphisme génétique. L'invention concerne également une méthode permettant de traiter des patients souffrant desdites maladies, laquelle méthode consiste à administrer un modulateur RANTES.
