A method for the manufacture of a flexible container suitable for use as a water bed for livestock comprises providing a first layer (10) of a flexible polymeric material, applying mask means (13) to an inner zone of a first surface of said layer, said mask means being arranged spaced from edges of the first layer thereby to define a substantially continuous boundary zone (14), arranging a second layer of flexible polymeric material to lie adjacent said first layer with the mask means sandwiched therebetween and subjecting the assembly so formed to a treatment operation thereby to form a face to face seal between said boundary zone and the confronting surface region of the second layer.

La présente invention concerne un procédé de fabrication de récipient souple pouvant servir de matelas d'eau pour le bétail. Ce procédé consiste à disposer une première couche (10) d'une matière polymère souple et à appliquer un dispositif de masquage (13) sur la zone intérieure d'une première face de la couche considérée, le dispositif de masquage laissant une marge avec les bords de la première couche de façon à constituer une zone limite (14) sensiblement continue. Le procédé consiste ensuite à disposer une seconde couche de matière polymère souple reposant contre la première couche, le dispositif de masquage étant pris en sandwich entre les deux couches. Le procédé consiste enfin à soumettre l'ensemble ainsi constitué à un traitement permettant de réaliser par chevauchement un raccord étanche entre la zone limite considérée et la surface en vis-à-vis de la seconde couche.
