An apparatus is provided for filling food product drafts (A) into packages. A supply of open top containers (62) are arranged in rows and carried by an elongated web of film (63) and are movable by the web into a fill station (61). A shuttle conveyor (52) has a retractable and extendable conveying surface, the conveying surface arranged above the fill station and having an end region (100) extendable to a position arranged to deposit food product drafts (A) into the containers of the first row by circulation of the conveying surface. The conveying surface is retractable, or extendable, to reposition the end to a position arranged to deposit food product drafts carried on the conveying surface into the containers of the second row and each subsequent row. A tamping apparatus (156) is carried by the conveyor to retract or extend with the conveying surface end. The tamping apparatus has vertically reciprocal tamping elements arranged above the respective row being filled with food product drafts, the tamping elements actuated to press the food product drafts into the containers.
L'invention concerne un appareil permettant d'emballer des produits alimentaires en tranches. Des contenants à extrémité supérieure ouverte fournis sont disposés en rangées et portés par une bande allongée de film, et sont amenés par la bande dans une station de remplissage. Un convoyeur de répartition possédant une surface de transport rétractable et extensible située au-dessus de la station de remplissage, présente une région d'extrémité pouvant s'étendre dans une position conçue pour déposer des tranches de produits alimentaires dans les contenants de la première rangée par circulation de la surface de transport. Cette surface de transport est rétractable, ou extensible afin de repositionner l'extrémité en une position conçue pour déposer des tranches de produits alimentaires portées sur la surface de transport dans les contenants de la deuxième rangée et dans chaque rangée suivante. Un appareil de bourrage est porté par le convoyeur afin de se rétracter ou de s'étendre avec l'extrémité de la surface de transport. Cet appareil de bourrage présente des éléments de bourrage effectuant un mouvement de va-et-vient vertical disposés au-dessus de la rangée respective étant remplie par les tranches de produits alimentaires, lesdits éléments de bourrage étant actionnés pour presser les tranches de produits alimentaires dans les contenants.
