Process for the preparation of phenylacetic acid derivatives Abstract of the Disclosure 2-Aminooxymethylenephenylacetic acid ester derivatives of formula I Image (I) as free base and as salt with protic acids, are important intermediates for obtaining microbicides useful in plant protection. In the above formula Z1 and Z2 are hydrogen, halogen, hydroxy, C1-C4alkyl, C1-C4lkoxy, C1-C4haloalkyl, C1-C4haloalkoxy, C1-C4alkylcarbonyl, C1-C4alkoxycarbonyl, phenoxy, nitro, cyano,Z1 and Z2, together with the linking phenyl radical, are naphthalene or hydrogenated naphthene, and R3 is hydrogen or C1-C2alkyl. The invention also relates to a simplified process for the preparation of compounds of formula I and to a process for synthesising microbicides from these intermediates.
