A safety valve (1) for retaining liquid in an inverted, liquid-filled canister (5a) inserted within a receptacle (5) having an outlet, includes a valve (2) having a base (7) and a head (8), a retainer (4) attached to the receptacle, the retainer having a compartment (10) for receiving the valve base and at least one passage (11) for allowing the liquid to flow through at least one passage when the valve is disengaged, and a spring (3) positioned within the compartment, telescopically engaging the valve base, for providing a sealing force on the valve, wherein the valve head engages the outlet of the receptacle for retaining the liquid within the canister when the spring force exceeds the hydrostatic force of the liquid within the canister and the weight of the valve.

L'invention concerne une soupape de sécurité (1) destinée à retenir un liquide dans un récipient inversé (5a) inséré dans un réceptacle (5) muni d'une sortie; la soupape inclut un clapet (2), qui possède une base (7) et une tête (8), et un dispositif de rétention (4), solidaire du réceptacle. Le dispositif de rétention comporte un logement (10) destiné à accueillir la base du clapet, au moins un orifice (11), qui permet au liquide de s'écouler lorsque le clapet est ouvert, et un ressort (3), placé à l'intérieur du logement (10) et qui vient en contact de manière télescopique avec la base du clapet; ledit ressort sert à communiquer au clapet une force d'obturation pour que la tête du clapet rentre dans la sortie et retienne le liquide que contient le récipient, la force du ressort étant supérieure à la force hydrostatique du liquide dans le récipient et à la masse du clapet.
