A process for the precipitation of a solute from a Dense Fluid Solvent in which a solution of the solute in a Dense Fluid Solvent is expanded under conditions such that the Dense Fluid Solvent passes from the Dense Fluid Solvent region of its phase diagram into a two-phase region of its phase diagram so as to cause precipitation of the solute from the solution. Apparatus for performing this process is also disclosed.

La présente invention concerne un processus de précipitation d'un soluté à partir d'un solvant fluidique condensé, dans lequel une solution du soluté dans un solvant fluidique condensé est expansée dans des conditions telles que ledit solvant fluidique condensé passe de la région de solvant fluidique condensé de son diagramme de phase à une région à deux phases de son diagramme de phase, de façon à provoquer la précipitation du soluté à partir de la solution.
