A cementitious panel comprising a cementitious core which is fabric-reinforced at the surface thereof and whose longitudinal edges are reinforced by a network of fibers. A panel may be obtained wherein the surface edge reinforcement layers are relatively strong and hard such that a nail or screw may be driven through the edge of panel without pre-drilling and without breaking, even when nailed or screwed almost at the very limit of the edge of the panel . Such a panel may provide a long lasting substrate for humid or wet areas such as shower rooms and bath rooms.
Panneau à base de ciment constitué d'un corps à base de ciment, dont la surface présente une armature textile et dont les rebords longitudinaux sont renforcés de fibres. Il est possible d'obtenir un panneau dont les couches de renforcement des rebords de surface sont relativement robustes et dures, de sorte qu'un clou ou une vis peuvent être enfoncés dans le rebord du panneau sans pré-perçage et sans risque de fendre le panneau, même si le clou ou la vis sont enfoncés tout à fait à l'extrémité du rebord du panneau. Un tel panneau peut constituer un substrat longue durée utilisable dans des pièces où il y a de l'humidité ou de l'eau, par exemple les salles de douche ou les salles de bain.
