An insulator for a lug assembly accessory including a main body that includes two substantially parallel plates that are connected by a wall therebetween. The plates and the wall form a partial enclosure. Also provided is a locking structure that is connected to the main body. The lug assembly can be positioned substantially within the partial enclosure with the connector of the lug assembly engaging the locking structure and able to be inserted within a circuit interrupter.
