Laser weldable polyester resin compositions comprising thermoplastic polyester and an .alpha.-methylstyrene copolymer, and, optionally, one or more of inorganic reinforcing agent and/or filler and other additives and a process for laser welding objects made from the compositions. The compositions have improved melt flow and rigidity at elevated temperatures.

L'invention concerne des compositions de résine de polyester soudables par laser, qui comprennent un polyester thermoplastique et un copolymère de ?-méthylstyrène et, éventuellement, un ou plusieurs renforçateurs inorganiques et/ou charges et autres additifs. Elle concerne un procédé de soudage par laser d'objets réalisés avec les compositions de l'invention.
