This application is in regard to a kit (100) to be used for conditioning and for applying a makeup product containing keratin fibres, specifically for the eyes. The kit is made up of: a) a main part (104) consisting of a drawer (105) containing a bar (107) of the product in question, and a sleeve (106) into which the said drawer (105) may be inserted and removed; and b) an applicator (1) consisting of a flat-shaped handle (8) and at least one application device (50) with a free end. The said application device (50) consists of numerous bristles (6) inserted in one end (10) of the handle (8) in an arrangement parallel to a plane of the handle. The width of the said application device (50, 50') is greater than 7.5 mm, the thickness of the free end of the application device ranges from 0.5 to 5 mm, and the length of the said application device is between 4 mm and 60 mm.
